  My wife and I grew up in Duluth. This temperature shift happens all the 
time. When the wind comes off Lake Superior the temperature can drop 
significantly in minutes. Its a bit scary huh. I saw it drop once 30 
degrees in a couple of minutes. Welcome to Duluth. Your story brought 
back fond memories when we read it. We are living in Missouri now and 
wish we had a lake effect now because the temperature is around 100
