Seeing as how things are rather slow in the forum at the moment, I figured why not throw an idea of mine into the mix.
In the immortal words of everybody's favorite mad (nuclear) scientist, Dr. Stranglelove, "Deterrence is the art of producing in the mind of the enemy the fear to attack."
A great addition to the game would be the ability to make threats against your enemies in order to get your way with them. Maybe they will yield, or maybe they will build up their forces and make a counter-threat. Once you launch your missiles or send in your troops you are commited to the action. This new option would offer more flexibility.
